Mitra and Josh…Married Omni Bedford Springs Resort

Last Sunday, Liesa and I traveled again to Omni Bedford Springs Resort in Bedford. I love shooting here! It is absolutely breathtaking!
We met Mitra and Josh in the bridal suite where they both got ready. This was a couple who was so laid back and did things their own way. We photographed them alone and with the huge wedding party beforehand. Still my favorite way to do it!!
Mitra and Josh were able to spend so much time with their guests during cocktail hour and the reception this way. They also opted to only do a first dance between them and nothing else. The day went so smoothly! Thank you both for allowing us to be a part of your day! Enjoy every minute of Italy!!!

Lauren and Marshall…married

Saturday, Katie and I met Lauren and her bridesmaids at her parents house while they got ready. The weather was absolutely amazing! Before the ceremony, we drove into town to photograph the girls along the cutest row of Antique stores. Then it was off to the ceremony.
Afterward, we all met over at the Manor at Gunpowder Falls for the reception and a little more shooting. I always love coming to places I never heard of or would not have expected a reception site to be.
Thank you both for service to our country and allowing us to be a part of your day!

Jessica and Justin

A few weeks ago, I had the priviledge to shoot Jessica and Justin’s wedding in Conshohocken.
The ceremony was so sweet. All three of their boys were ring bearers with the youngest being pulled in the wagon.
Jessica warned me a head of time that their first dance was going to be different and to be prepared…. It was fantastic! You can check it out HERE!
Thank you both for allowing me to photograph this special day!!

Rachel and Nick…married Coveside B+B, Georgetown, Maine

My dear friend Kris asked me to shoot her brothers wedding in Maine last weekend since she was standing up with her brother. I was thrilled to do it. They had the ceremony and reception at the Coveside B+B in Georgetown Maine. As I came up the drive way, the view literally took my breath away! Throughout the day, it kept changing with the tide going out and the fog rolling in. Amazing!
Rachel and Nick kept everything really simple, yet elegant. Dinner was a little messy, but what do you expect eating Lobster! This was my first time in Maine and eating a whole Lobster, so Kris showed me the right way to do it. I wish you could have seen my face…
Thank you so much for allowing me to capture this day! It was my pleasure! Good luck in Taiwan!

Casey and John….married Gettysburg Hotel

Friday, Liesa and I had the pleasure of shooting Casey and John’s wedding. We arrived at Casey’s parents to find the girls quite calm and ready to go! After a few shots outside, we headed off to the church, St Barthalomews in Manchester MD. I absolutely loved photographing in this church! The light coming from behind them was so amazing during the ceremony that I had to use it photographing them together. A few quick family formals outside and we were off to the reception where they had so much fun, they had to extend the reception! Congratulations!!!

Hadley and Ed, Part 2 Penn State Schreyer House

After Liesa and I got home from Paris, we began missing our new ‘french’ family, the Spaniers, Cuilhe’s, and all of our new friends that adopted us into their families. Luckily for us, Ed & Hadley got to do it again, that’s right – they also let us ‘follow them’ around for an American wedding. The entire wedding was held in Hadley’s parents backyard. The ceremony was so personal and intimate with Hadley’s father officiating and reception was so beautiful! The details took us right back to France.
The party went on all night thanks to Tommy Wareham and Graham’s one man band!
Hadley and Ed, thank you so much for introducing us to our new love for France ( or just the baguettes )
We are crossing our fingers for a third wedding reception, just so we can party and photograph you both again!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm Macaroons!!

Hadley and Ed…Paris, France

I can’t even begin to tell you of the amazing experience we had shooting Ed and Hadley’s wedding in France.
Liesa and I arrived Friday morning in Paris and got settled before rehearsal dinner that evening at the Hotel de France in Versaille. It was just close family and friends and we were welcomed as family.
Saturday, everyone got ready at the hotel before being shuttled to the Mayor’s office in Louvecienne. The legal ceremony has to be performed by the Mayor. Then it was off to the Catholic church for the more traditional ceremony. After being blessed with a shower of rice exiting the church, Hadley, Ed and everyone walked up the street to l’Etang for cocktail hour in which anyone can come to. Food and drinks were flowing! After 2 hours there, were walked just a little more to Ed’s parents home for dinner. They had a beautiful tent set up in their yard to host all the guest. Course after course came and it kept getting better. When it was time to “cut the cake”, the caterers brought out a flaming presentation of deserts along with the cream puff tower that Ed and Hadley cut and fed each other. Michel, Ed’s father also brought out the last bottle of wine from the grand parents vineyard and let everyone share in drinking it. After midnight, we all headed home to get ready for brunch on the lawn of the Chateau de Versaille in the morning.
By early afternoon, we all met and walked over to the Chateau gardens where we all sat, ate and took in the gorgeous view.
Later, Hadley and Ed got back in their wedding attire so we could go around Paris and shoot. I am still sitting here not believing it….
Michel drove us around to some of the place they wanted to go. We did stop at the Eiffel tower for a few minutes until some of the World Cup soccer fans started rocking Michel’s car an almost rioting…so we got out fast. The last place we went was the Palais-Royal. I had been dreaming of this place for weeks. There were a ton of tourists, but I managed to pull it off!
My terrible writing really does not sum up everything that we saw, or how the trip went, so I will let the images speak for themselves.
Stay tuned for Part Deux from PSU.
