Lindsay and Brent….married Cape Henlopen

We were looking forward to Lindsay and Brent’s wedding in Rehoboth Beach for a while now!
Liesa and I arrived at Lindsay’s family beach house to start the day. Her sister told us her dress and shoes were waiting upstairs. I think Liesa died and went to heaven over Lindsay’s Manolo’s!
Her dress was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The girls were scattered throughout the house getting ready that I didn’t know there was so many until they all came outside. We shot around the beach for a little before the limo BUS came. That was a first!! Lindsay was no joke on her wedding day. She pulled out all the stops to make it memorable for everyone!
There were lots of tissues passed as Lindsay’s Father sung to them. I think we even got a little choked up in the back of the church!
After the ceremony, the wedding party jumped on the bus and we shot a little in the park and headed for the beach.
The reception was in almost full swing when we arrived at Salero in the Cape Henlopen Hotel. The view was incredible!
They had such a beautiful wedding day!

Erica and Brent…married Hauser Estate Winery

Erica and Brent were married in the cutest church in Hanover on a perfect cloudless day! Erica was absolutely stunning!
After the ceremony, we headed to the reception at Hauser Estate Winery.
We had never been there before. As we started to drive up the long driveway it reminded me of being in California. The view is breathtaking!
All the guests were treated to an extra long cocktail hour to enjoy the view, weather and wine. We did manage to sneak Erica and Brent off for a bit to shoot in the barrel room and a few moments for them to be alone.
Here are a few from the day!

Hannah and Ben…married

“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else.”
1 Thessalonians 3:12
I had the absolute honor to photograph the wedding of Hannah and Ben. In all my years of shooting weddings, I have never seen two people so absolutely in love with each other. Every glance, touch, and embrace was that from their heart.
Liesa and I arrived at the church while everyone was getting ready. Ben was headed back out the door because he left the rings at home….he later returned with the rings, but he had also thought of Hannah the whole time, he stopped and got her something to eat without even asking and had one of the groomsman deliver it to her. Hannah is a lucky girl!
The ceremony was so special too with a lot of laughs and tears. They showed a slideshow after their vows and I almost had a hard time shooting.
I had the wedding party meet up at Wheatland for some fun shots and to let me play in the sun! This is where Hannah and Ben got to be themselves. I took them off for a few minutes and told them to ignore me. I didn’t have to direct at all. Their interactions with each other were so amazing that I couldn’t stop shooting, but had to to get back to the reception.
After dinner and a little cake smashing, the dance floor was completely packed all night until Hannah and Ben left through a shower of sparklers.
I am truly blessed to know you and your families. Thank you for an amazing day!

Meghan and Carlos…married Lauxmont Farms

The rain wasn’t going to stop Meghan and Carlos from getting married on Saturday! Liesa and I ran into Carlos and the guys at the house before they raced out the door to the church. Meghan just missed seeing him after her hair was done. We weren’t there very long before we all had to hurry to the church.
We hoped the rain had stopped by the time the ceremony was finished so we could get some shots of everyone outside and luckily it did! We drove into the city with the wedding party in tow.
Once at the reception, Meghan, Carlos and their daughter Makayla drove up in the horse and carriage to make their entrance into the reception and to have a candle lighting ceremony. A few toasts, cake smashing and a few formalities, the party was on!
The view was spectacular with the fog rolling over the hill, the horses in the field and all the sail boats on the river. It was an amazing day!!

Kelly and David…married at Cameron Estate Inn

I have to say, I love my job so very much and the main reason for that is my clients. Number one example, Kelly and David. Kelly would call and email me all the time for advice on how everything needed to go. She wanted it to be perfect on her wedding day. She put so much trust in me and knew that no matter what, she was going to get amazing photographs of her day, and knowing that I was there to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Saturday arrived finally! Issy and I met everyone at Cameron Estate Inn where the ceremony and reception were to take place. David and a few family members were on the porch eating lunch when we arrived. Everything seemed so relaxed and stayed that way through out the day.
They decided to see each other before the ceremony and have all their photographs done as well so they could spend time with their guests at the cocktail hour. (I will always encourage this!!!) Kelly hid at the top of the steps while David had his back to her. With all the bridesmaids giggling around the corner, David turned around to see the stunning Kelly decend. I gave them a little time to be alone and just get the nerves out.
After a short and sweet ceremony, everyone headed over to the carriage house for cocktail hour and the reception.
We had such a good time at the reception! Kelly and David made us feel like we were so much a part of everything. I bawled my eyes out during Kelly and her Father’s dance, and with Kelly being her crazy self, we shook our butts on the dance floor together! Thank you both and your families for such an amazing day!!
I love, love, love my job!!

Lauren and Brian…married Hamilton Club Lancaster

Saturday was another scorcher, but beautiful! My friend Krisha came to shoot Lauren and Brian’s wedding with me. We met all the girls at Lauren’s parents house while they got hair and makeup done. Then they jumped on the trolly to race to the church. After a sweet ceremony by Lauren’s childhood neighbor, I took the Trolly with the whole wedding party to capture the fun and shoot their not so formals. Once we finished, we all met back at The Hamilton Club in Lancaster where Jonnaysa and Diana from Planned Perfection were waiting for us. Everything went absolutely amazing! The food was the best I have ever had! After dinner, I snuck Lauren and Brian downstairs to the bowling alley for some quiet time and few shots! While were were down there, we could hear everyone dancing. Chris Garrett of Mixed up Productions DJ kept everyone on the dance floor all night! Lauren, I hope you actually made it out to dance at least once! Enjoy your honeymoon!

Kelly and Tony…married

Whew! It has been a while in between weddings with vacation, California and the open house…. We are now back in action!
Saturday, I was able to shoot Kelly and Tony’s wedding with my friend Nicole . They were married at the Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church. Nicole and I got there before anyone else to get settled and shoot all the details. Kelly arrived alone in her limo and as soon as she started down the sidewalk, I turned to Nicole and said ” She looks like Katerine Heigl!” Kelly doesn’t get that everyone says that, but all day, she looked more and more like her! She was so stunning in her gown!
After the ceremony, we took the wedding party out in the shade of the willow trees where I was knee deep in brush and the guys kept teasing that there was some sort of creature ready to get me! I swear this was the hottest day of the summer so far. Kelly and Tony beared the heat and went on a mini hike with us to the upper outdoor chapel for a bit of alone time. Once we were soaked with sweat, we headed to the reception at the New Cumberland Holiday Inn so they could cool off before everything started. It was a beautiful day!! Tony wanted to surprise Kelly with their honeymoon trip, but someone let it slip… so, have fun in St. Lucia!

La Venta Inn, Palos Verdes California

Ok, here they are! 2 weekends ago, I flew to LA to second shoot with my friend Chelsea again. This seems like a once a year thing for me now. One of these days, it will actually work out that she can fly here and shoot with me. Believe me we have tried! I don’t mind going out there though. The venues are always so incredible and nothing like we have here in Pa.
Kaoru and Patrick were married in Palos Verdes at the La Venta Inn. What an amazing day! They were so cute and we laughed with them all night!
