I asked Natalie and Emilie to come back out on Wednesday night to shoot more for their senior session since we didn’t have too much time last week. I picked them up and we headed into the city for more of a relaxed shoot.
Marina and Rich
I am not even sure where to start with Sunday’s wedding. My words are not eloquent enough to describe how I feel about Marina and Rich. Love doesn’t seem to be a strong enough word to describe these two. This day has to be one of the most perfect wedding days ever. Not because the weather was beautiful or the setting was amazing, but because these two are what love looks like to me.
Liesa and I shot their wedding since she came with me to NY to do Marina and Rich’s
engagement session. Right away, it was so comfortable like a group of old friends.
All the girls were in the Green room getting ready, but everything was very relaxed and Marina wanted to make sure everyone was fed, especially her Grandmother. This was a very diverse crowd since Marina’s family are all Russian. Granted, I didn’t know what was said most of the time, but I think I got it! Rich was in the house as well with the groomsmen, but he was playing Martha Stewart as one of the girls said, setting up all the last minute details. We did eventually get him getting ready.
Marina was breathtaking and so elegant which made photographing her so easy. I couldn’t take a bad shot if I tried!
This was the first time we had a ceremony at the new site at Cameron Estates. Wow! As if this day couldn’t get photographically better! I get goosebumps every time I look at the ceremony. ( I hope you do too!) There were tears and smile throughout.
Afterward, we grabbed a few family shots and then I was able to take just Rich and Marina around. They were up for anything again and left it all to me. I had to take a shot with the iphone again just to continue from the engagement session. Thanks for playing!
The reception was held in the main house and was very intimate. Only about 50 people. Toasts were given by their Fathers. Marina had to translate for hers. So cute!
After dinner, the first dance and cake, everyone headed out on the porch for more dancing. I had the chance to work with 2 of my favorite guys! Matthew from Occasions DJ’s and Joey from Big City Video. They are both incredible to work with!
In the end, Marina and Rich headed through the sea of sparklers and off to Aruba! You both are so wonderful and I wish you incredible love and joy!!! Have fun!

Elizabeth and Dave…married
Saturday was our first wedding of a double header weekend. Mark and I traveled to Hershey for Elizabeth and Dave’s wedding. Elizabeth and the girls were already at the church getting ready so we hung out for a bit and then took them outside for some quick shots. It was so humid and we were worried it might rain. Once the guys arrived, they ran through their ceremony duties and we took them out for a bit as well. Mark was having so much fun with the little ones. Laney was keeping us all entertained with Hannah Montana microphone while she sang to her sister.
After the ceremony, we stayed around the church for all the family and group shots. It was such an old and beautiful building and the landscaping was perfect. There was an old log cabin that was enclosed in glass that I would have loved to shoot in, but that was a no go….
Their reception was held at the Hershey Lodge and again, they did not disappoint! The room was so beautiful! The tables were all pin spotted and every detail was perfect. The guest were in a separate room for cocktail hour and once the wall opened up, you could hear everyone’s reaction to it. The food was also amazing! Elizabeth and Dave are both chef’s, so you know they were very particular about what was served.
After dinner Ellen had everyone on the dance floor. During one of the scheduled breaks, the staff rolled out the grooms cake to surprise Dave. He loves the Rolling Stones, so Elizabeth had a tribute cake made for him by Sweet Confections. Then they cut their real wedding cake…one of my favorites!!
Later, we were all back on the dance floor the rest of the night! Here are just a few shots and your show! Enjoy!
PS. I have never seen quite the reaction to the chicken dance as I did that night!! So fun!

Emily and Mark…married
Saturday, Krisha came along to shoot with me at Emily and Mark’s wedding. We traveled down to Philly to the Loew’s hotel in Center City. What a kick a$$ hotel!!
After circling the block a few times past the Amish country fair… we got in the garage and headed upstairs to meet Emily. All I can say is WOW!! They had the most incredible room over looking the city. I knew we were going to have awesome day! Once Emily was ready, Mark came up to the room to see her before hand. We used the room and hotel for a lot of the shots because it had the look I was going for this time. Very classic, like an old movie. Then we headed over to Rittenhouse Square where everyone was out since the weather was so beautiful. We did have to call and hitch a ride back because Emily’s feet started to hurt after hoofing it so far.
Back at the room, we shot all the family formals and then worked our way up one floor for cocktail hour. Yes, it was before the ceremony. The best idea ever!! Everyone was ushered into another room for the ceremony where Mark an Emily walked in together. The ceremony itself was fast, but very emotional. Dinner was served promptly after the ceremony on the 2nd floor. Then, we went back up stairs for cake and dancing. We noticed that their were fireworks going off across the water. As Mark and Emily danced their first dance, the finale started and we were able to capture that in the background. What a perfect day!! Here are some of my favorites and your show!

Anna and Nick…married
Saturday, my friend and fellow photog Krisha helped me out with shooting Anna and Nick’s wedding. As we started driving toward Carlisle… the sky got a little scary. Once we hit King’s Gap, it poured!! We had to travel up the mountain to King’s Gap State Park
and by the time we got to the top, the rain stopped. This place was incredible and I fell in love with it!
The girls were in a back bedroom of the mansion getting ready, while the guys hung out on the terrace. Krisha and I were bouncing back and forth between the two before we left for the chapel. What a sweet little place that was as well. You could hear the rumbling of thunder during the ceremony and we were worried it wasn’t going to hold off. The storm did, just long enough for everyone to get in their cars to head to the reception. Then the hale and wind came. We were scared that a tornado was coming threw! But again like the first time we drove up the mountain, the rain stopped when we hit the top. Cocktail hour was still held in the beautiful garden as we photographed families and Anna and Nick alone. There were a few emotional toasts before dinner from both Anna and Nick’s Dads. Then came the wonderful food! Krisha and I decided to stay outside on the terrace for dinner because it over looked everything and the sunset was so incredible! I think everyone realized that because soon they were all outside sitting with us! After dinner and the sunset, there more toasts. Every single one, I teared up. These families had so much love for each other. Very incredible!
The rain had cooled everything off and dancing started outside on the terrace while they waited for the fireworks below. Hopefully, they got to see them…. sorry we didn’t get to stay!
And here as promised before you left….your show!
Brittany and Jeff
Here ya go Brittany! The first new post!!!!
Saturday, Katie and I went to Carlisle for Brittany and Jeff’s wedding. Everything was being held at Whispering Pines. This was the first time either of us had been there. It was nestled in the woods away from the busy traffic. The landscaping was so beautiful and was backed up by gorgeous farm land. The girls arrived after we did, which gave us plenty of time to look around. Brittany didn’t want anyone to see her dress until the very last minute. It was stunning and so was she! We took a few fun shots in the suite before the ceremony because the heat was so bad outside, no one wanted to get sweaty before they had to. The ceremony was very emotional and God’s love was all around. I teared up quite a bit, especially as Brittany’s Dad gave her away. During the whole ceremony, Brittany couldn’t stand still. She was telling us beforehand how excited she was to marry Jeff. She knew he was the one since she was 12. Her excitement couldn’t be held in any longer. After the first kiss, she exploded in the hugest “Yeah” and smile I have ever seen!
Between the ceremony and reception, we walked around the property to shoot the bridal party and Brittany and Jeff alone. They were very adamant about using all the time we had for their shots and I was happy to oblige. We were finally called into the reception to start. Dinner was served, then a few toasts, shared memories and stories. The dance floored was packed all night. It was an awesome day! Here are some of my favorites and your show! Thanks for holding out a few more days for this!!

Lafferty’s Wedding
Friday night, Tony and I headed down to Annapolis for our friends Josh and Danielle’s wedding. I have known Josh since middle school as well as most of my close friends, so it is always great for us to gather. Saturday was the actual wedding at the Naval Academy. What an incredible Chapel! The wedding was very sweet and Josh and Danielle were grinning from ear to ear. They actually got married last year in a small ceremony before Josh left for Iraq, so this time, it was for everyone else. Josh had also just torn his bicep tendon and was in a wee bit of pain. But, he still smiled! We always have such a good time when we all get together….now we have 2 more friends that have yet to tie the knot…so maybe there will be another gathering soon…hint hint!! 😉
Daphne and Richard…renewed
Saturday was a very special day. Daphne and Richard renewed their vows in front of all their family and friends. They were married last year, but had a small ceremony with just family. Last February, Richard was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and they treated it very aggressively. No matter what though, Daphne and Richard were going to get married! You can see their wedding from last year here. I kept in touch with them after the wedding to check in and see how Richard was. As of May 24, 2007, he was cancer free. Saturday was the first time I saw Richard in about a year. I was so thrilled to see how great he looked! He said “no crying this time”, but I couldn’t help it! What a day of celebration and rejoicing! Daphne, Richard and everyone there were smiling all day! They held a full mass at St Mary’s again, but this time, a big reception was held at the Eden.
I am so happy to have been a part of this celebration again. You two are the best and I am truly blessed to know you and your families. I love you guys!!
Yuki
Thursday, I met Yuki, her Mom, sister and dog Momo at Long’s park for Yuki’s senior session. We had a lot of fun just walking and talking and especially when Yuki put on her ballet tutu. There we a few people in the park wondering what we were doing…
Here a just a few from the night.
Katie and Eric…Part 2
So Saturday was part two for Katie and Eric. They wanted to throw a reception for all their family and friends, but keep it a little low key. After setting everything up, the rain came down and they had to hurry to get ready and back to the site before the guests came, so I was only able to shoot a bit for them. There was a ton of food and so many people! Mike Miller was awesome as DJ and I know we all had a great time dancing!! Here are just a few shots from Saturday.
