Saturday, Katie and I met Adrienne and Michael at the Cornwall Inn in Lebanon. They decided that they wanted to see each other before the wedding and have all the “formals” done so there wouldn’t be such a long wait for the reception. I love doing weddings this way. It takes so much pressure of the bride and groom, and me. No one feels rushed. Then we met the rest of the wedding party at the Cornwall Iron furnace. This place was such a find! It was very hot and sticky, so I made it a quick shoot so they could get to the church to cool off. After the ceremony, we headed to the Lebanon Golf club for a very quiet reception. Just a nice dinner and socializing. Especially over the candy bar and chocolate fountain. Hope you enjoy your honeymoon and Show!
Hmmm……
Where are we and what are we doing??? Stay tuned to find out more!!!!
Jessica and Loui…married
Jessica and Loui’s wedding was the second one we had this weekend. We met Jessica and a few bridesmaids at ” Serenity Spa” in Heritage Hills. Then we were off to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation for the ceremony and reception. Greek weddings are always interesting. Even though most of us didn’t understand what was being said, the priest would explain it all in English. It was broken down into 3 parts. The ring exchange, the crowning of the bride and groom, which symbolizes God blessing and their recognition of their role in the kingdom of God and communion, where the couple is lead around the platform 3 times and finally united in marriage.
Greek ceremony’s are also great for us b/c the priest always tells us to come up front to shoot!
After the ceremony and the family photos, I managed to sneak Jess and Loui off for a few minutes and then brought them back to the front of the church where Jessica’s grandfather performed an American vow exchange. What a great private moment.
Then we were off to the party! Lots of food and lots of dancing! When all the main events were finished, Jessica and Loui started the kalamatiano. This dance lasts for hours at times and money was constantly being pinned to them or thrown at them. Here is your slideshow.
Ashley and Jon…married at Wind in the Willows
Saturday started off our whirl-wind weekend. Katie and I headed to Grantville to Wind in the Willows for Ashley and Jon’s wedding. I had never heard of this place before, but it is a wonderful, almost secret place. When Katie and I drove up, at the same time we both just gasped at the view. The ceremony was set up in front of the pond under the willow trees. Ashley and her bridesmaids got ready in the boat house next to the pond, while the guys were up at the house. In the mean time Jon took us to the Barn where the reception was being held. Wow! What an incredible place! See for you self in the show to follow….
The sky started to look a little scary as the ceremony started. Then as the girls came down the aisle, the sky broke loose, slowly. The rain was slow for the whole ceremony and as Ashley and Jon left, it poured! The best part, and I will never forget this, was Ashley. Saying the words I love to hear….” I’ll do anything to get the shot!” She said I want my outside pictures no matter what!
So, we did them all in the rain. I also want to note, Ashley’s brother Jared was such a great help. He carried his sisters train and an umbrella for the whole time.
Here are a few from Saturday and their slideshow
Chelsea and Steve
I am going to be shooting Chelsea and Steve’s wedding next Sunday. So, we decided to finally arrange their engagement session. Chelsea warned me that Steve was very shy….so I was a little nervous. I think he will be used to me a little more next week!
We met in Elizabethtown this morning, bright and early, just as everyone was going about their daily routines. This made us all laugh as we were in the middle of town and all eyes on us! We found some quieter places later…
Here are a few of my favorites.
See you guys soon!! Thanks!!
I jumped too.
Dawn and Mike
Saturday, Dawn and Mike met me at Long’s park in Lancaster for their engagment session. We tried to avoid the crowds of people having cookouts for Cinco de Mayo. They did come in handy when we saw a little girl shaking the cherry blossom trees and asked her to do that for us. Here are a few for our gorgeous day!
Kacinda and Michael
Today, Katie and I headed to Gettysburg for Kacinda and Michael’s wedding. The day went flawlessly. I was so happy they were up for anything. Their whole wedding party made the day so much fun. Patton, one of the groomsman even drug me out on the dance floor for the oh -so -famous electric slide…(there are no incriminating photos of that!) Their reception was held at the brand new Wyndham Hotel in Gettysburg. What a beautiful classy place!
We even got to work with one of out favorite DJ’s, Matthew from Occasion’s DJ.
Here are a few from today before we go!!
Thanks for everything!!!
