Meghan and Carlos…married Lauxmont Farms

The rain wasn’t going to stop Meghan and Carlos from getting married on Saturday! Liesa and I ran into Carlos and the guys at the house before they raced out the door to the church. Meghan just missed seeing him after her hair was done. We weren’t there very long before we all had to hurry to the church.
We hoped the rain had stopped by the time the ceremony was finished so we could get some shots of everyone outside and luckily it did! We drove into the city with the wedding party in tow.
Once at the reception, Meghan, Carlos and their daughter Makayla drove up in the horse and carriage to make their entrance into the reception and to have a candle lighting ceremony. A few toasts, cake smashing and a few formalities, the party was on!
The view was spectacular with the fog rolling over the hill, the horses in the field and all the sail boats on the river. It was an amazing day!!

This sweet little one fell and had to get stitches right as the ceremony started… he was a champ and you would never know it even happened.

Sachet and Jayme

Sachet has been asking me for a while if I would shoot her Sweet Sixteen portraits. She wanted to to have them done with her best friend Jayme. They had an idea of going to Italian lake where everything is so nicely landscaped…. yes, we did go there, but they were a little hesitant when I made them crawl in the woods first to use an old garage. I said, “Just trust me!” They are both such gorgeous girls and so hard to take bad photos of. After a bit, they both changed into their cheerleading uniforms and got a little silly!
Hope you love them!!

Kelly and David…married at Cameron Estate Inn

I have to say, I love my job so very much and the main reason for that is my clients. Number one example, Kelly and David. Kelly would call and email me all the time for advice on how everything needed to go. She wanted it to be perfect on her wedding day. She put so much trust in me and knew that no matter what, she was going to get amazing photographs of her day, and knowing that I was there to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Saturday arrived finally! Issy and I met everyone at Cameron Estate Inn where the ceremony and reception were to take place. David and a few family members were on the porch eating lunch when we arrived. Everything seemed so relaxed and stayed that way through out the day.
They decided to see each other before the ceremony and have all their photographs done as well so they could spend time with their guests at the cocktail hour. (I will always encourage this!!!) Kelly hid at the top of the steps while David had his back to her. With all the bridesmaids giggling around the corner, David turned around to see the stunning Kelly decend. I gave them a little time to be alone and just get the nerves out.
After a short and sweet ceremony, everyone headed over to the carriage house for cocktail hour and the reception.
We had such a good time at the reception! Kelly and David made us feel like we were so much a part of everything. I bawled my eyes out during Kelly and her Father’s dance, and with Kelly being her crazy self, we shook our butts on the dance floor together! Thank you both and your families for such an amazing day!!
I love, love, love my job!!

The Rodruan’s

Barb and Ross had been planning an Anniversary present for his parents for a while. Barb wrote to me and asked if I would be willing to come to Rehobeth Beach to shoot family portraits while they were vacationing down there. Of course I would!!!
They had to let Ross’ parents in on the surprise ahead of time to prepare. We had such a fun time on the beach and then headed to a local park, where they all played on the kiddie toys! Happy Anniversary!!! I hope you enjoy these!

You do parties?

I was approached a while ago my good friend Jodie to host her daughters 5th birthday party. She wanted something small and something different. So we came up with a portrait party! Gigi invited 4 friends to come over to the studio and we set it up for a party. There were giftbags, TONS of food and presents for Gigi! I was around documenting the party and also letting the girls pose for the camera.
So, this gave me the idea to start hosting small portrait parties! If you are trying to figure out what kind of party to have for your little Diva and her friends, why not a super model party with a runway? A tea party with dress-up? The possibilities are endless. Give us a call if you are interested! We’ll talk details!

Meghan and Carlos

I tell all my couples, that an engagement session is like a “get to know you” session, to get used to me being around with my camera and getting a feel for how I do things. Meghan and Carlos wanted to find the right spot for their shoot. They didn’t want to go where their friends went, so after some discussion, we found a place. Everyone asks, “what do you want us to do?” I say, ” be yourselves and be natural” Meghan and Carlos did just that. They said how they never get to see each other very often throughout the week and they never get to stare at each other so much. Their affection for each other came out instantly and you could see just how much they love each other with every caress and embace. They are so sweet to work with! Can’t wait for your wedding in a few weeks!
