We have been super busy around here and I am trying to play catch up! Last weekend I had the opportunity to photograph the Swarr family. We met at Millersville University and had almost the whole campus to ourselves. What a beautiful day! Here are just a few…

Broderick turns ONE!!

While we were in Cape May last weekend for a wedding, we used our time there to shoot Broderick’s last session of his Baby’s first year. It just so happens the family has a house down there so it worked out so well! We were supposed to meet at 9 am, but the weather decided differently. After a few torrential thunderstorms, the sky completely cleared up and the sun came out.
We decided to go to the lighthouse and then the beach. Broderick was not happy to put his feet in either the sand or grass, even with shoes. So solid ground and benches, barefoot was his thing….

NYC Photog Shootout

Tuesday, I headed up to New York City for another Photog Shootout. This time it was hosted by Jason Groupp.

We all converged on the Meat packing district with a new set of models and fun in the rain….again. ( I am noticing a pattern here)
I only got around to 2 of the groups to shoot because I was too busy catching up with people I haven’t seen in a while.
It was very interesting to see the way others approach shooting and is always refreshing to learn something new.

Alison and Todd…married in Cape May

This past weekend, Liesa and I headed down to Cape May NJ for Alison and Todd’s wedding. We met Alison and her bridesmaids at her parents beach house while they got ready, then headed over to the church in the middle of town. The church was packed with all their family and friends who travelled all the way to see them!
Once the ceremony was over, we all headed over to Congress Hall
for the reception. During cocktail hour, we took the wedding party down to the beach for a few shots and then snuck Alison and Todd away for a few moments alone.
The reception was then in full swing with the incredible Tribeca Grand who had everyone on the dance floor as soon as they came in! What a beautiful day you had!!
Check out your show!

Welcome to the world Taelyn!

A few weeks ago, I got a call from Amber, one of my past brides, letting me know she was expecting very soon. Once the baby was born, she wanted to do a Baby’s First Year package. On Easter day, Taelyn made her way into the world! Today, I went over to photograph her for the first time. Amber is a girl after my own heart! She had Taelyn’s nursery done in hot pink and black with ZEBRA print accents. Amber’s mother made all the bedding, lamps and every thing in between. Since Taelyn was born on Easter, Amber thought it would be cute to have her in an Easter basket with bunny ears. Taelyn loved it!! Too cute!
So here is a few of Miss Taelyn!

Janelle and Angelo…married Lancaster Country Club

I have never seen two people more in love with each other than Janelle and Angelo. They will tell the story of how they met at his families restaurant over and over. It seems as though Janelle was destined to walk in that day and see Angelo working. Sparks flew immediately and the rest is history.
Sunday was a testament to their bond. Smiles, laughs and tears were shared by everyone all day.
I was so connected to Janelle from the day we met. She would call me to share every planning detail and to get my opinion on everything. She is a girl after my own heart!
My friend Erik came to shoot with me Sunday. He had a chance to meet Janelle at our Photog shoot out last month where Janelle was one of the models. So this made it seem like we were all just a bunch of friends hanging out for the day.
The ceremony was held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox church in Lancaster. I love Greek ceremonies because you are allowed to stand right up in the action. Janelle was like a big bundle of energy waiting for the pronouncement that her and Angelo were finally married. She even did a little dance right at the end!
After shooting some formals of everyone, we headed to Lancaster Country Club for the reception. Janelle wanted us to photograph the ballroom before anyone was allowed in. She put in so much thought to the details, from the zebra print table runners, ostrich feather center pieces to the hockey puck place cards(for Angelo) and the Bowl of baked oatmeal cake. Yes, it was crazy and different, but they wanted something to symbolize the first date they had over a bowl of baked oatmeal!
After dinner and some traditional greek dances, they had a limbo and hoola hoop contest in honor of Janelle’s college friends.
We had such a blast!! Thank you for letting us be part of your day!! Enjoy your show!
